Martin’s Ave replaced the original homestead that had occupied the site since the 1920’s.  From the road the house retains key features of the Arts and Crafts Bungalow including the notable roofline over the entrance way, attic windows and the clay tile roof.

While features of the original house were retained on the exterior facing the road, the home was completely redesigned, making the most of the views over Orakei Basin to Rangitoto, and the north facing sun.
